Two years has gone by since the first exhibition, Malm1, was presented, and the relay baton has now been passed to the next group of artists.

The twelve artists from the first edition have each selected an artist to be included in this year’s exhibition.

This year’s artists are: Ulf Carlsson (SE), Ylva Friberg (SE), Leif Holmstrand (SE), Peter Holst Henckel (DK), Sophia Kalkau (DK), David Krantz (SE), Truls Melin (SE), Julie Nord (DK), Hans Scherer (SE), Tina Scherzberg (DK), Andreas Schulenburg (DK), and Eva Steen Christensen (DK).

The idea behind the Malm exhibitions is to select contemporary artworks from our region of the world every other year and present them at Malmö Konsthall.

Artists from the region are invited and given the chance to present new works. The project gives us a broader insight into the dynamic and exciting art scene in our immediate vicinity – art that so many people in the rest of the world are talking about and exhibiting.

The artists in the Malm1 exhibition were: Eric Andersen, Martin Erik Andersen, Nathalie Djurberg, Keld Helmer-Petersen, Lisa Jeannin, Jesper Just, Peter Land, Tova Mozard, Johan Röing, John Skoog, Astrid Svangren, and Kirstine Vaaben.
