The Autopsy - Melbourne

The Autopsy which derives from the Greek meaning 'to see for oneself' is a new and exciting Contemporary Art Space that is located in the heart of St Kilda East, Melbourne, Australia.

In its past life with its black tiled front, grubby brass window frames and gold fleck numbers on the door, it was a shop that sold jewels to the rich and famous. An end has come to that era, now finding rebirth as a contemporary art space exhibiting works of the beautiful and infamous. The Autopsy is the proud creation of Jade Palmer (Basefield), Darren Henderson (DirtyGood) and Andy Sargent (Seven Nine) so please stay tuned for more exciting news to come soon, along with a brand spanking new website!

As well as working with a current selection of mid career artists, The Autopsy will also be holding regular application reviews of works from up and coming artists every three months.

If you would like for the infamous three to review your work for future exhibitions please do so to the address below and include a self addressed, stamped envelope if you would like your items to be returned. Please stay tuned for further updates and the grand opening of the new space which promises to showcase some of the most exciting artists of our time from around the globe.

The Autopsy is located at 162 Carlisle Street, St Kilda East, 3183, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Please call or email if you would like further information
